About our Polishes
Our mission at Tynie is to create luxurious, non-toxic nail polish in trend-making shades while aiming to reduce the waste and toxic chemicals usually associated with nail polish.
We strive to make polish you can feel good about. That’s why all of our polishes are vegan, cruelty free, and non-toxic. The polish we make is 10-free, meaning it is made without any of these yucky chemicals: Formaldehyde/Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Camphor, Tert-butyl hydroperoxide, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, Parabens, Phthalates, and Triphenyl Phosphate. Not only are these ingredients toxic to our environment, but they can also cause allergic skin reactions, respiratory issues, and even cancer.
Why the name?
You may have noticed that all of our polish colors are named after songs. There aren’t very many things in this world that evoke emotion and feeling like music and we feel color is definitely one of them. Our strategy for naming our polishes is to match the feeling of a song with the feeling of a color. Sometimes it might be really apparent as to why we matched a certain song with a certain color and other times it’s completely subjective, but either way we’re hoping it makes for a memorable color name. If nothing else, they should make for a rockin’ playlist.
